Thanks to the amazing Northumberland coastline water sports such as surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and kite surfing to name a few have never been so in demand. In Northumberland we are fortunate to have so many beautiful locations from which to enjoy or learn for the first time these water based activities. If like me, until recently you or your family have never tried these activities, you maybe asking where can you go for lessons or maybe you want to improve your skills? Well, to get you started here are some of the local water sports providers, some of which I can personally recommend in Northumberland.
NE Surf School Bamburgh
If you’re looking for surfing lessons with quality coaches then Chris and Emily of NE Surf school are both experienced patient and knowledgeable coaches to help you either get started on the water or help improve your skills. It is what they live for and can’t wait to share it with you. Lessons are small and personalised and you will learn to surf properly and not just be able to stand up on a board. And what a great location to learn with views of Bamburgh Castle as a back drop. More recently they have secured funding to be able to help deliver surf therapy and adaptive surfing lessons in Northumberland too. To learn more and book click here
